Discussion and vote to authorize up to $3,000,000 in additional pre-existing UFLAC funds for the Measure FD campaign through Election Day, November 3, 2026.

New developments have likely led to opposition of Measure FD from the Los Angeles Police Protective League (LAPPL), also known as “The League.” Our internal polling shows that Measure FD is in a good position to get majority support from Los Angeles voters, but opposition from the police officers’ union and potential money spent against our measure requires a strong response from UFLAC. This additional funding, which will come from pre-existing UFLAC accounts and NOT require a special assessment, is needed to ensure that voters will be reached through mail, digital, and get-out-the-vote efforts while they are making their decision. The LAPPL’s opposition to Measure FD will make it more difficult to pass, and that’s why we need to double down on our investment. We’re in the final stretch, and this is when campaigns are won or lost.
