A message from your UFLAC Benefits Trustees:

Attention UFLAC members and retirees! Did you know UFLAC’s Annual Open Enrollment is here once again? That’s right! Open Enrollment will be from September 15 – October 31. The benefits you select and changes you make to your coverage will be effective January 1, 2027. This is your only opportunity to change plans and add or remove dependents from coverage unless you experience a Qualifying Life Event. Now has never been a better time to consider or review your UFLAC plan(s):

SAVINGS!

• Medical: Our Anthem Blue Cross HSA-eligible PPO plan continues to be available to active families at no cost at all out of your paycheck and up to $3,600/year into your Health Savings Account (HSA)
• Dental: Lower monthly costs for actives and retirees enrolled in a MetLife Dental PPO (DPPO) plan
• Life/AD&D: Lower monthly costs for actives, retirees, and dependents enrolled in MetLife Supplemental Life/AD&D coverage
• Voluntary Plans: Lower monthly costs for actives enrolled in MetLife Critical Illness or Accident coverage

 
FLEXIBILITY AND ACCESSIBILITY!

• Online Open Enrollment: Retirees may enroll in or make changes to their dental and legal plan coverage
  
  • Medical and Medicare Advantage plan changes require a physical enrollment form
• Life/AD&D: Exciting plan design changes to your Basic Life/AD&D, Supplemental Life/AD&D, and Spouse Life/AD&D!
  
  • Active Basic Life/AD&D coverage to increase from $145,000 to $165,000
  • The maximum Supplemental Life/AD&D coverage will increase from $1,000,000 to $1,100,000 subject to Statement of Health (SOH) and approval from MetLife
  • The maximum Spouse Life/AD&D coverage to increase from $300,000 to $320,000 subject to SOH and approval from MetLife
• Unbundled Dependent Life/AD&D: For actives and retirees under 75, enrolled in MetLife Dependent Life/AD&D coverage, your enrolled Spouse/Domestic Partner (DP) coverage will now be separated from Child(ren) coverage
  
  • No change to coverage amounts, but overall reduction to your monthly costs
  • Only pay for the coverage you need – be sure to review and adjust your coverage as needed
  • The Trust will not terminate any Life/AD&D coverage automatically – if your Spouse/DP and/or Child(ren) are no longer eligible – you must TAKE ACTION and make changes on our website.

ENTER OUR RAFFLE!

• Feeling Lucky? All members who review their benefits during Open Enrollment will be entered into a raffle for a chance to win a $500 Visa gift card!
• To enter, login in at www.uflacbenefitenrollment.com and click ‘Start Here’ at the top of the screen. Walk through the Open Enrollment screens and make changes, as applicable. Make sure to update your beneficiaries!
• Once you receive a confirmation number, you will be entered into the raffle!

As a reminder, all members and retirees should review and update their Life/AD&D beneficiaries online at our website above. Beneficiaries should be reviewed during Open Enrollment, and changes can be made year-round.
